Annual General Meetings
Each year the current ENCOMM Charity Trustees step down. We need a Chair, Treasurer and a maximum of 5 other Trustees to continue to be a legal entity. Duties are not too onerous – We meet formally four times a year (roughly each quarter) to make decisions on any applications for project funding.
To become a Trustee you must be over 18 and live in East Nairnshire.
Full details are here in the constitution
The TRUSTEES
Contrary to popular belief, ENCOMM is not a windfarm organisation! We are all ordinary local residents with a little bit of experience here and there who came together in 2019 to disburse community benefit funds from the Tom-Nan-Clach windfarm.
Chair – Martine Scott (Lethen)
In July 2024, As a founder Trustee, Martine stepped into the role as chair, following Linda Henderson – who held the position from 2019. She has lived in Nairnshire since 2005 and is currently a freelance programme manager – working mainly for the NHS in Scotland; supporting rural general practice and the British Association for Intermediate Care (BASICS). She enjoys motorcycle touring and playing the cello (but not at the same time)…
Treasurer – Diana Wilson (Lethen)
In November 2024, Diana took over as Treasurer from Peter Arris, (a founder Trustee) who helped initiate ENCOMM in 2018. Retired, local resident. Working life of over 45 years in a secretarial and bookkeeping capacity. Also carried out the duties of Secretary for the Nairnshire Farming Society & Agriculture Show for 2 years. Enjoys outdoors walking & cycling around bonnie Scotland.
Aileen Asher
Aileen moved back to Nairnshire in 2013 having spent 30 years in architecture and design in Edinburgh and London. Her role with US architectural firm HOK where she was a director and worked for 20 years involved many large construction projects throughout the UK and Europe.
Since her return Aileen has been involved in various fundraising roles locally, a few smaller design projects and is a keen walker, swimmer, badminton player, yogi and in spite of leaving Nairn over 40 years ago to avoid it, she now plays golf!
John (JP) MacPherson
John retired as a stockbroker since 2007, and spent all his working life in the finance sector. He has lived in the Nairnshire/Inverness area since January 1976.
Alison Cook
Alison retired in 2017. She has lived in Nairnshire since 1980 and worked in education in both Nairn and Moray for over 30 years.
Warwick Samuel is a man of mystery…(awaiting bio)
