East Nairnshire COMMunity Organisation (ENCOMM) was formed and authorised by the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) in November 2019 to administer the community benefit package given to the East Nairnshire Community by Nanclach Limited, owners of the Tom nan Clach Wind Farm. ENCOMM’s charitable purposes are as set out in its Constitution and are broadly:
• To advance citizenship or community development, including rural regeneration.
• To improve the quality of life, health, well-being and independence and to reduce social isolation of residents by reason of age, ill-health, disability or social circumstances.
• To advance environmental protection or improvement, including maintenance, improvement or protection of environmental amenities, for the Community and the Public.
ENCOMM offers grants and other support to projects within the East Nairnshire Community Council defined area which benefit our residents.
Please note that ENCOMM cannot support any political organisation or activity nor any religious organisation or activity.
The organisation is run by a volunteer board of trustees who reside in East Nairnshire and are elected annually by the members. They meet four times a year to consider applications.
