East Nairnshire Community Organisation
Membership Membership is free and open to all residents of the East Nairnshire area (as defined for Community Council purposes) who are aged 16 and over. Membership means that you are interested in what we do, means that we will keep in touch directly by email with news of our activities and gives you voting rights at members meetings and at the AGM. This includes electing Trustees. Associate membership is open to non-residents and corporate bodies who have an interest in what we do but this does not carry voting rights. As a Scottish Charitable Independent Organisation, we are required to hold a register of membership and of Trustees. As with the register of charity trustees, the register of members must contain additional information for any member which is a corporate body. The register of members must also retain some information about former members for at least six years from the date the person ceased to be a member of the SCIO.
